Packing for a Big Adventure

Packing for a Big Adventure

When it comes to heading away, I find the best thing to do is create lists of what you’re going to be doing. This makes it so much easier to sort through what you’re going to need to pack and what you have to buy.

I always like to bring back souvenirs, memorable T-shirts and other bits and bobs, so no matter how big your suitcase or rucksack, leave room for the return journey.

No matter how old I get, I never learn not to over pack, I don’t know what it is put I always pack things for ‘just in case’ moments and then get annoyed when I don’t actually use or wear the item.

If you’re heading on a proper traveling holiday and you’re taking a backpack, you will naturally more conscious of packing, just because you literally have to carry everything. If you’re going away for a few weeks and taking a suitcase, then you may be more inclined to pack more. However, no matter what you bring with you on a trip, you may definitely want to bring a backpack cooler, which you can purchase by visiting websites like https://gunlawsuits.org/top-picks/columbia-backpack-cooler/ (if you’re going somewhere hot). You’d be able to keep food and drinks cold while hiking or camping in this manner. A well-designed backpack cooler keeps its temperature and is comfortable to wear, reducing strain on your back.

Don’t forget to Buy Olio Lusso CBD-Infused Gummy Bears, they would be classed as essential if you want a good night’s sleep.

Like I said, creating lists of what you’re going to be getting up to is vital to starting to pack with a clear mind. You’ll also need to head online to see what the temperature is like and if you’re heading to a Muslim country, read some recommendations from other travelers about dress code, there is nothing worse than feeling uncomfortable.

As much as this is a guide to how to pack for your travels, everyone is different and you may need to consider the length of time you’re going for, where you’re going and generally relate this advice to your own trip.

Footwear:

If you’re going on a serious backpackers trip then you’ll need to look at your itinerary and more often than not you’ll be going on a few treks during your explorations. Pack a decent pair of walking boots (wear them in first), some trainers, flip flops, sandals and a single pair of smart shoes. That really should be all the footwear you need, ladies, if you need to take some high heals, try and stick to one or two which co-ordinate with a number of outfits.

Underwear:

Before you leave, double check on your accommodation and see if they have washing facilities on site. There is no point in going away and taking 21 pairs of socks, underwear, and vests with you. I would recommend taking a week’s worth and then finding a washing service nearby, otherwise, you’re just taking up dear space.

T-Shirts:

A handful of short sleeved t-shirts should do you find, providing you have washing facilities. I aim to take around five t-shirts each trip as well as a long sleeve top, a jumper of two for the cooler nights (not too thick) and a shirt or two for evening meals.

Trousers:

Again, depending on the climate you may want to take a handful of shorts, a smart pair of trousers, walking trousers, waterproof trousers and maybe some jeans. This should be plenty to see you through, and again you’re more than likely to find some washing facilities.

Outerwear:

Depending on the climate, you may want to take a waterproof coat. I would recommend a pack-a-mac style jacket which you can layer up underneath if it’s cold, plus this saves room in your bag.

Toiletries:

If you’re travelling with a partner, companion or friend, try and share the toiletries, as you certainly won’t need two of everything. Think of the essentials; shower gel, shampoos, and conditions, toothpaste and moisture as well as sunscreen, insect repellent and perfumes. These are usually cheap to buy so if you’re struggling on space it may be worth waiting to buy these until you arrive.

Other Essentials:

I always pack a first aid kit, towel, and moneybag with me. You may also want to take camera, laptops, video camera’s etc but always remember the chargers and travel plugs. If you’re going somewhere with the sea or even a pool, don’t forget your swimwear and a separate towel. Swimwear is definitely important to remember so you can easily jump in the pool, lake, sea whenever you need to. You will need to get quality swimwear like those from https://thehermoza.com/collections/strapless-swimsuits to ensure they don’t fall off or break! The sun might be hot and the water might look cool and you might regret not bringing your bathers!

Before I start packing, I always do a Google search to see what other people recommend, this will give you a good idea of any cultural normality’s and help you to prepare a little more. It is always very easy to over pack but just remember you can always pick things up as you go along.
